Online hate forces woman to disable comments on engagement ring announcement

It’s no secret that people can be very vicious online, but one lady claims she is still in disbelief at the offensive remarks she just received on a TikTok video.

@danielleelouisee_ claims that it all started after she posted a real video about becoming engaged and how, in the days after her proposal, looking down at her ring finger continued to catch her off guard.

Comments about the engagement ring announcement

She undoubtedly anticipated replies from those who had experienced the same thing after making their own proposals.

Instead, criticisms regarding her ring size, which most viewers thought was much too little, dominated the comment area of the video.

Although @danielleelouisee_ eventually shut off the comments because they were so upsetting, she did respond to them in a subsequent video, which is now going viral on its own.

The only comment that TikToker uses is one that refers to searching for a diamond and is accompanied by an emoji for a magnifying glass.

The diamond was implied to be so tiny that it was hardly visible. Her response, however, makes it obvious that this was just one of many like remarks she had heard, all of which were needlessly unpleasant.

It’s no secret that people can be very vicious online, but one lady claims she is still in disbelief at the offensive remarks she just received on a TikTok video.

The TikToker said in her follow-up video, “So I wasn’t going to reply to any of these comments, but there’s really been quite a number. And it’s really not Fine.”

She added, “My fiancé proposed to me with this ring, which I chose. “It’s 2023. Stop criticizing someone for their jewelry, clothing, or other personal preferences.

“I picked out this ring. It never dates. It’s elegant. It’s classy. I adore it since it’s my style,” the TikToker said. “It’s not yours; you don’t have to wear it. So let’s stop commenting in this manner on other people’s videos, and if you don’t like the ring or TikTok, simply go on.”

Many people chimed in to advise her to disregard the crude remarks and that her ring is, in fact, exquisite.

One guy commented, “People are miserable haters. No need to justify yourself, ladies.”
