Urgent Stimulus Check Update: Claim Your $1,044 Direct Payment within Four Days

Colorado residents eligible for the Stimulus check must complete their applications within a four-day window to receive rebate installments next month.

The Property Tax, Rent, and Heat rebate provides an annual payment of up to $1,044 to qualified residents of Colorado to assist with covering utility costs and other expenses related to their property. 

Qualifications for Stimulus Check Rebate Program

In order to be eligible for the rebate associated with the Stimulus check, individuals must fulfill certain requirements. 

These include having maintained residency in Colorado for the entirety of the 2022 calendar year, possessing an income below the thresholds of $16,925 for single filers or $22,858 for joint filers, and meeting at least one of the following criteria: being aged 64 or older, having a documented disability, or being a surviving spouse aged 58 or above.

Applicants must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the rebate program. One of the prerequisites is that they must have made payments for property tax, rent, or heating bills during the designated year.

Distribution of Payment in Three Installments

Additionally, they should not have been claimed as dependent on someone else’s tax returns.

For those who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to receive the rebate in three installments, the deadline to apply is June 10. 

The payment will be distributed in three separate installments, with the first installment starting in July. Applicants whose applications are approved and processed by June 10 can expect the first direct deposit on July 5, while those receiving paper checks will receive them starting from July 15.

It is crucial to emphasize that the deadline for receiving the rebate payment, regardless of the chosen payment method, is December 31, 2024. However, for those applicants who opt for receiving the payment in two installments instead of three, the deadline is October 5.
