Titans season 4 is coming up, and here’s what we know about the coming back HBO Max show.
Fans of DC’s Titans have been waiting for a long time. The top-rated DC Universe show moved to HBO Max last year for its third season. Many people thought it was the best season of the show so far.
Since the end of season 3, there has been a lot of talk about season 4. At DC FanDome, Season 4 was confirmed. Still, with Warner Bros.’s merger with Discovery and the uncertain future of the HBO Max streaming service, as well as the fact that this is the longest time the show has gone without more specific release information, it hasn’t been the smoothest time for the show (or any DC TV series, for that matter).
Still, the Titans are coming back to TV. Below, you’ll find all the most up-to-date information about the show’s return, including its cast, release updates, when to expect a trailer, and more.
Is Titans Season 4 Happening?
Yes, the Titans will have a fourth season. In October last year, DC FanDome gave the show a fourth season. Fans were worried about the future of the DC shows after WBD canceled the HBO Max Batgirl movie and took down several HBO Max originals, but it has since been confirmed that Titans season 4 is on the way. Better still, it’s almost here.
Titans Season 4 Release Date
According to bamsmackpow, The fourth season of Titans will start on November 3 on HBO Max. The news was shared during the show’s panel at New York Comic-Con.
After months of rumors that it might come out in October, Entertainment Weekly said at first that it would come out in November. That is a little later than when new show episodes usually come out in late summer or early fall. However, since filming is still going on until the end of September, it makes sense that it can’t come out just yet.
Titans Season 4 Cast
As of this writing, most of the main cast of Titans will likely be back for the fourth season. Even though not everyone will be back in a regular role, here is everyone who has been confirmed for a regular part so far, including some newcomers:
- Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson / Nightwing
- Mame-Anna Diop as Kory Anders / Starfire
- Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth / Raven
- Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan / Beast Boy
- Joshua Orpin as Conner / Superboy
- Jay Lycurgo as Tim Drake / Robin
- Joseph Morgan as Brother Blood
- Franka Potente as Mother Mayhem

Aside from that, Curran Walters is expected to play Jason Todd/Red Hood again, but it’s unclear if he’ll be a series regular, a guest star, or a recurring character. Also, it’s unclear whether Conor Leslie or Minka Kelly will return now that their feelings, Donna Troy/Wonder Girl and Dawn Granger/Dove, have left the show.
Titus Welliver will bring the famous DC villain Lex Luthor to the Titansverse as a guest star. But he’s not the only guest star or recurring cast member who’s been confirmed:
- Titus Welliver as Lex Luthor
- Lisa Ambalavanar as Jinx
- James Scully in an unknown role

When filming started, Brenton Thwaites posted a picture of the cast back together on social media and said that the first episode begins with the Titans bowling.

Even more exciting than Brenton’s first post about Titans season 4 filming is his most recent one, in which the actor who plays Nightwing says he played a gig for his castmates at the wrap party. Yes, that seems to mean that filming for season 4 is done, which is very exciting because it means that new episodes are closer than they were before.
Titans Season 4 Synopsis
In season 4, the heroes of the Titans will try to start over and leave the dark days of Gotham City behind them. Even though they only stayed in Metropolis for a short time, it turned out to be a very dark chapter. Brother Blood is on the way back to San Francisco.
Here’s what we know about what will happen in the fourth season of Titans:
“After saving Gotham in the upcoming fourth season, the Titans will hit the road to go back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the sights of a supernatural cult with powers, unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
8 Things I’m Most Excited to See, Including the New Lex Luthor
Last year, Season 3 of Titans had a lot of twists and turns, like when Jason Todd came back as the bad guy Red Hood and Bruce Wayne killed The Joker for killing his sidekick. Also, Red Hood was behind Hank Hall’s death, and Nightwing died for a short time.

When everything was said and done, the heroes beat Dr. Jonathan Crane, and just to be safe, Raven made sure that the man who used to terrorize Gotham City as The Scarecrow was mentally disabled so that he could never hurt anyone again.
The Titans’ time in Gotham was over, so they started heading back to San Francisco. This set the stage for Season 4 of Titans, which will begin in November for HBO Max subscribers.
According to the official plot summary for Titans Season 4, after stopping in Metropolis, the main characters will find themselves in the sights of a supernatural cult with powers, unlike anything they’ve faced before. Even though that is an exciting tease, there are eight specific things I’m looking forward to in this new season of Titans. The first is that Superman villain Lex Luthor will finally be on the show.
Titus Welliver As Lex Luthor
Even though we saw a flashback of Lex Luthor as a child in Titans Season 2, the character hasn’t had much of an effect on the show’s current plot until now. This is because Conner Kent, aka Superboy, joined the Titans, and his right-hand woman Mercy Graves has been following his orders.
This will finally change in Season 4, when Titus Welliver, who plays Bosch, is cast as a bearded Luthor on Titans. Even though Luthor won’t be the main bad guy this season, Titans showrunner Greg Walker said that he will be a threat to Superboy’s mind and intellect, but we’ll talk more about that later.
Welliver has already played Double Down on Arrow and voiced Carmine Falcone in Batman: The Long Halloween, so I’m excited to see how he does as one of DC Comics’ most famous bad guys.
