Recent years have seen a rise in the popularity of episodic anthology series, especially in the horror genre. People liked shows like Black Mirror (2011-) because they didn’t have to watch the whole season in order. Instead, they could just watch the episodes that sounded interesting.
The Twilight Zone was one of the first well-known anthology shows. It was so popular that it has been brought back three times, with Jordan Peele producing and narrating the most recent one.
This style is excellent for people who don’t have much time or attention because it tells the whole story in one episode instead of making them watch 8 episodes in order. Guillermo Del Toro has been in the entertainment business for a long time.
He is best known for his scary and magical creature features like Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), The Shape of Water (2017), and Hellboy (2004). He just signed a multi-year deal with Netflix and has worked with them on projects like the Tales of Arcadia trilogy: Trollhunters (2016–2018), 3Below (2018–2019), and Wizards (2018–2019). (2020).
He also made Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, a full-length movie that came out in 2021, and he is currently making Pinocchio, a stop-motion movie. Folklore, fairy tales, and horror are common themes in his work, if not all.

Guillermo del Toro, a famous director, has a new Netflix series for his collection of scary stories. In it, he takes viewers inside his masterful mind of horrors.
Cabinet of Curiosities, an upcoming American horror anthology series, is based on del Toro’s short story of the same name. There are eight different horror stories in the series. Each is about a diverse group of people who have met monsters, ghosts, or killers from another world.
Many famous actors and actresses, like Rupert Grint, Ben Barnes, Andrew Lincoln, and Sofia Boutella, are in the series. Two of the eight episodes were written by del Toro, while the other six were written by the show’s writers, who have also worked on The Strain and Black Mirror.
Starting on October 25, two new episodes of Cabinet of Curiosities will be introduced daily, and del Toro will introduce each. Look at the video above.

In interviews, he talked about a book he made called Guillermo Del Toro Cabinet of Curiosities: My Notebooks, Collections, and Other Obsessions. It has sketches, illustrations, and thoughts that have never been seen before. This memoir came out in 2013; Del Toro works hard with producers J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water) and Gary Ungar (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) to make the Netflix horror show.
