After the victim sought to get some food stamp cards for his mother, officers spoke with him and learned that his stepfather had grabbed him by the neck and strangled him for a brief period.

According to the police, the victim’s mother claimed that she had left the room to pack her bags and move hotels to avoid her husband, but she had left her food stamp card in the room.

According to the report, the oldest child in the room at the time of the incident was afraid to talk about it because Almendarez-Gonzalez was taking revenge. However, he did confirm that he saw Almendarez-Gonzalez putting his hands around the victim’s neck because of the food stamp cards.

He was still detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Thursday afternoon, and his bond was still pending.
