The second suspect in the $100K chicken theft is also suspected of the $400K Beef Heist

A Hialeah man is now the second person arrested in connection with the theft of a tractor-trailer with around $100,000 worth of poultry items, and police believe he is also a suspect in a related $400,000 meat crime. According to documents, Jorge Lyen Blanco-Diaz, 38, was detained Monday on grand theft of cargo, grand theft of a vehicle, and unlawful use of a communication device.

Raul Bello, 49, was detained earlier this month on the same accusations related to the chicken incident. The tractor-trailer was stolen near the driver’s residence on Old State Road 9 and Northwest 155th Lane in Miami on September 15.
