On Wednesday, gunmen opened fire in a neighbourhood in South Los Angeles, injuring numerous individuals.
In the Vermont Knolls neighbourhood, at 3:12 p.m., Los Angeles police responded to a shooting incident close to 74th and Figueroa Streets.
Six victims of gunshot wounds were discovered at the location by the responding police. At least one individual was taken in critical condition to the hospital. Every one of them was shot below the waist.
The victims, who were all between the ages of 36 and 62, were only recognised as five women and one guy. Three males in a car pulled up and started firing at them as they were strolling down the street, according to the police.
When the police came, the gunmen had already left the area.
On September 25, 2024, a shooting broke out in South Los Angeles, sending four ladies to the hospital.
Detectives do not think the victims were the intended targets, despite the paucity of information. It’s also unclear if there was a gang connection to the shooting.
The scene was seen on Sky5 and featured other neighbouring cars with bullet holes and windscreen damage.
The street was marked off by police tape, and a lot of evidence markers were visible on the other side.
The shooting’s cause is yet undetermined.
