On Wednesday, a fishing guide boat overturned on the Columbia River, leaving one person missing.
The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office and many other law enforcement organisations responded to a report of a capsized boat on the Columbia River close to the mouth of the White Salmon River at around 11:30 a.m.
The boat’s six occupants were hauled out of the water and brought ashore. After being rescued, two individuals were brought to the hospital.
Hood River Police say the only other person on board, the ship’s captain, is gone.
It is said that on Thursday, the hunt would apparently continue with more resources.
The inquiry revealed that the vessel was a 24′ North River fishing boat, last observed close to the White Salmon entrance, near the green navigation buoy.
The sheriff’s office has chosen to withhold the names of those involved out of consideration for the families concerned.
The inquiry and search are still on.
