A search warrant has identified a person interested in investigating a missing Missouri City woman

Karen Miles’ family is unaware of Davante Clark’s identity, even though he is the only person of interest in her abduction. Family members said they believe the bones discovered in Missouri City are those of Karen Miles, a loving 61-year-old grandma. New court filings also offer information on the sole person of interest in the case.

Patricia Evans, Miles’ sister, claimed that no one in the family knows who Davante Clark is, even though he is the only person of interest in her sister’s abduction. “Never heard of him,” Evans responded. Clark, 28, was arrested after Pearland police said they observed him driving a stolen automobile from Arkansas. When officers pulled him over, they discovered that the license plate had been replaced and that he was driving Miles’ vehicle, which they believed had been stolen from the Missouri City apartment complex where she lived.

According to investigators, Clark told police he hired the car from someone. He was transported to the Brazoria County Jail. According to court filings, Texas EquuSearch views Clark as a person of interest in two stolen car instances involving missing people. He has previously been charged with avoiding arrest and driving without permission, according to officials. On Tuesday, the Missouri City Police Department stated that bone remains were discovered the day before after receiving a tip during the hunt for Miles. The remains were found in a rural area near Fuqua and the Fort Bend County Toll Road.

Miles’ family members claimed they believed the remains belonged to their loved one. “I really can’t say, but it is a 99% indication that it is my sister,” Evans told me. Every day, we kept looking. We hoped she was alive. It did not end that way. “It ended in the worst way for our family: devastation,” Evans explained. They are now just expecting to achieve justice. Police have not yet confirmed that the remains are Miles’. A prayer vigil for Miles will be conducted on Saturday. It will occur at Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Glen Valley Drive at 7 p.m.
