South Los Angeles – After a complaint of a probable stabbing aboard an LA Metro bus, police and paramedics were dispatched to the South Los Angeles neighbourhood of Manchester Square on Friday afternoon.
At roughly 2:30 p.m., a petrol station near the intersection of Western Avenue and 76th Street was where the halted bus was visible on Sky5’s video.
An LAPD car was parked nearby, and a man sitting on the ground next to a petrol station sign was talking to an officer. The man looked like he had a bloody cut around his neck.
Eventually, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department lifted the patient onto a gurney and transported them to the rear of an ambulance for more evaluation.
Later, an LAPD representative verified that officers were called to the scene around 2:20 p.m. in response to a complaint of a victim with a laceration wound.
The victim, a fifty-year-old guy, allegedly sustained a neck wound from a stabbing.
The culprit had left the area by the time police arrived, according to officials.
By Friday night, LA Metro had provided KTLA with additional details on the attack on the bus. The statement stated that two individuals—the stabbing victim and another victim—were attacked, with the latter suffering from minor injuries that were not disclosed.
After being taken to the hospital, both victims’ conditions were last described as stable.
Additionally, a suspect has been brought into custody, according to Metro officials.
“We remain grateful for our bus operators who continue to deal with societal issues while transporting our passengers across the county,” the LA Metro statement reads.
There have been no new details disclosed thus far, and the inquiry is still going on.
