After abusing six young children across the state of Texas, a 43-year-old man was given a life sentence without the chance of parole.
After a jury found Buck McCoy guilty of ongoing child sexual assault last week, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office obtained the sentence for him. Six victims provided testimony to the jury throughout the trial.
McCoy “worked to ingratiate himself into different families,” according to the prosecution, and he did so for eight years starting in 2012. It has been stated that he would try to win over parents’ trust before abusing young girls while taking care of them. The district attorney’s office stated that the victims were usually between the ages of 10 and 12.
Although McCoy claimed to be from Alvarado, Texas, he had really lived in the Houston region since approximately 2016. In 2022, he was first taken into custody by deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office after victims’ reports.
