A devastating accident at a Club Car manufacturing plant in Georgia has claimed the life of a young worker after she got caught in machinery while reaching for a dropped AirPod.

Alyssa Drinkard, a 21-year-old line worker at the Club Car plant in Evans, tragically lost her life when attempting to retrieve her AirPod from under a conveyor belt. 

The Nightmare of Retrieval

According to reports from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Drinkard inadvertently became entangled in the chain mechanism of the conveyor, leading to critical injuries.

Fellow worker Fae’Zsha Smith, who witnessed the incident, recounted the harrowing moments when Drinkard’s attempt to retrieve the AirPod turned into a nightmare.
