Meanwhile, a tragic incident has rocked Polk County, Florida, as a 22-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection with the death of his 4-month-old daughter, Willow, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Grady Judd announced on Wednesday that Jacob Kubai is charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child, aggravated child abuse, and two counts of knowingly abusing a child without bodily harm in the tragic case of his daughter’s death.

The arrest follows a thorough investigation conducted jointly with the Bartow Police Department, initiated on February 22nd after Willow was admitted to Bartow Regional Medical Center under distressing circumstances. According to the sheriff’s office, the infant was brought in with “no brain activity and suspicious physical injuries.”

Despite efforts to stabilize her, Willow’s condition remained critical, prompting her transfer by helicopter to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa. Medical examinations revealed the extent of her injuries, which included a fractured skull, multiple layers of brain hemorrhaging, broken ribs, bruises, and scratches.
