Montana’s SNAP Benefits Update: April Payments of Up to $1,751 Set to Begin Soon

Montana’s SNAP program is preparing to distribute April payments, providing essential assistance to qualifying households.

Starting on April 2 and spanning five days, the payments can go up to a maximum of $1,751, providing essential assistance to individuals and families facing economic challenges.

Qualification Requirements in Montana

The distribution of SNAP payments is organized based on recipients’ SNAP case number, account number, Social Security number, or last name. March’s payments recently concluded on Wednesday, and anticipation is building for the upcoming disbursement in less than a month.

Qualifying for SNAP in Montana involves meeting income criteria. Single-person households must have a net monthly income below $1,215, while larger eight-person households should not exceed a net monthly income of $4,214. 

The size of the household determines the specific payment amount, with single-person households receiving $291 per month and eight-person households eligible for up to $1,751 per month. For households larger than eight members, an additional $219 is added for each person.
