Investigators Seek Answers in Missing American Couple’s Yacht Mystery

Details surrounding the disappearance remain murky, with investigators piecing together a timeline of events.

According to Ralph Hendry’s sister, Suellen Desmarais, the couple was last seen alive by a neighbor at the dock on Sunday afternoon. However, by the following morning, their yacht had vanished from its mooring, leaving behind unanswered questions and mounting concerns for their safety.

Authorities have linked the disappearance to the escape of three prisoners—Ron Mitchell, Trevon Robertson, and Abita Stanislaus—from a local police station.

The fugitives reportedly seized the opportunity to flee aboard the yacht, embarking on a journey that spanned multiple Caribbean islands. However, their flight was short-lived, as they were apprehended by authorities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday.

The circumstances surrounding the couple’s disappearance have raised alarming suspicions, with Grenada Police indicating that they are exploring leads suggesting potential foul play.

The Salty Dawg Sailing Association, to which the couple belonged, revealed that a good Samaritan discovered the abandoned yacht off a beach in St. Vincent, noting signs of apparent violence onboard.

Bob Osborn, president of the Salty Dawg Sailing Association, expressed shock and grief over the unprecedented turn of events, extending condolences to the families of the missing couple.
