Kinzinger Slams Gabbard’s ‘Crazy’ Comparison of Us to Pearl Harbor Attackers

Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger has taken to social media to criticize his former colleague, Democratic former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, labeling her as “crazy” in response to her comments on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Gabbard’s remarks questioned the remilitarization of Japan, a move that Kinzinger found contentious and expressed his disagreement with on the social media platform X.

Tulsi Gabbard Sparks Controversy

On the 82nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Gabbard raised eyebrows with her comments regarding Japan’s aggression in the Pacific.

In her post, she urged careful consideration of the ongoing remilitarization of Japan, cautioning against shortsighted and self-serving leaders potentially leading to a face-off with a remilitarized Japan.

Gabbard’s perspective on the matter sparked criticism from Kinzinger, who deemed her comments unconventional and criticized her stance.

The attack on the US The Pacific Fleet in Oahu by Japan on December 7, 1941, marked a significant event in history, leading the United States to enter World War II.

More than 2,400 lives were lost in the assault, and the day is commemorated annually as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day to honor the victims and reflect on the lessons learned from the tragedy.

A military veteran, Gabbard served in the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021, representing Hawaii. Despite being a Democrat during her tenure, she garnered attention for her alignment with conservative viewpoints.

In 2020, Gabbard ran for the Democratic presidential nomination and has since distanced herself from the Democratic Party without formally joining another political group.

Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger has taken to social media to criticize his former colleague, Democratic former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, labeling her as “crazy” in response to her comments on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Gabbard has not shied away from criticizing her former Democratic colleagues, a move exemplified by her departure from the Democratic Party last year.

She has found common ground with Republicans on specific issues, including her alignment against Ukraine and in favor of Russia, a stance that has drawn criticism from various quarters.

Adam Kinzinger, a vocal critic of Gabbard, has not hesitated to express his disapproval in the past. Last year, he labeled her remarks about Russia as “actual Russian propaganda” and accused her of being traitorous.

Kinzinger suggested that Gabbard should go to Russia, citing her alignment with certain Russian viewpoints.

The public exchange between Adam Kinzinger and Tulsi Gabbard underscores the ongoing divergence of political ideologies within the American political landscape.

As Gabbard continues to navigate a unique political path outside the Democratic Party, her perspectives on international affairs remain a subject of scrutiny and critique, exemplified by Kinzinger’s recent comments on her stance regarding Japan’s remilitarization.
