In response to the situation, Chinese authorities have taken proactive measures. They announced the opening of additional pediatric outpatient clinics to manage the rising cases, demonstrating a commitment to addressing the health challenges the younger population faces.
One of the critical strategies highlighted by Chinese health officials is an emphasis on increasing flu vaccinations, particularly among older people and children. The general population is also encouraged to adopt preventive measures such as consistent mask-wearing and regular hand hygiene.

They note that similar increases in respiratory diseases have been observed in many countries globally after the relaxation of pandemic measures—a step China took at the end of the previous year.
