A catastrophic explosion at Jimbo’s Auto Repair in Hillsboro, Ohio, unfolded on Tuesday, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving another individual injured.
The shocking incident, captured by security cameras, has sent shockwaves throughout the tight-knit community situated approximately 50 miles east of Cincinnati.

The explosion, which originated within the auto repair shop, unleashed a fierce blaze that demanded the swift response of a 45-person fire crew from the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District.
Chief David Manning, leading the rescue efforts, reported that the intense fire took nearly an hour to bring under control. The aftermath revealed debris scattered across the road and an adjacent building engulfed in flames.
Chief Manning shared his belief that all four victims were employees of Jimbo’s Auto Repair. The injured woman was expeditiously transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
As investigators delve into the circumstances surrounding the explosion, the cause remains elusive, and the identities of the victims have yet to be disclosed.

Tragic Auto Shop Explosion in Ohio
The sheer force of the blast was so formidable that it reverberated at the firehouse located five to six blocks away from the epicenter.
Residents in the vicinity recounted feeling the tremors within their homes, underscoring the magnitude of the explosion.
Richard Brown, a neighbor, offered his account to NBC affiliate WLWT of Cincinnati, remarking, “When I heard about the explosion, I told my wife, she said it rocked our house something awful. Jimbo, who owns the place, is a really stand-up guy who’s a great mechanic.”
Despite outreach attempts, representatives for Jimbo’s Auto Repair could not be reached for comment as of Wednesday.
In addition to the immediate devastation wrought upon the auto repair shop, collateral damage extended to the adjacent building and a residence across the street, both succumbing to the flames.
In a testament to community solidarity, local residents rallied together, providing sustenance to fire crews at the scene and the station. Chief Manning expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of support during this challenging and somber period.
