Hamas announced that it has offered a five-day cease-fire with Israel in exchange for the release of up to seventy women and children detained in Gaza.
Approximately 240 Israeli civilians were taken prisoner and at least 1,200 were killed in Hamas’s horrific attack on October 7. To permanently destroy the terrorist organization, Israel has retaliated by laying siege to Gaza.
Hamas Proposal
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, has consistently asserted that a ceasefire in the conflict with Hamas will not be entertained or agreed upon until the release of all hostages is secured. He firmly stands by the position that no resolution or cessation of hostilities will be pursued until every captive is liberated.
According to Abu Ubaida, a spokesperson for Hamas, an audio file shared on Hamas’ Telegram channel allegedly presented a proposal for an agreement. The contents of the audio file, as reported by Abu Ubaida, were said to outline a potential deal or offer.
The brothers from Qatar made an attempt last week to free the enemy captives who were detaining women and children in exchange for the release of 200 Palestinian women and children.

Israel’s Unwavering Pursuit for Victory
Stating that humanitarian assistance must have unrestricted access throughout the Gaza Strip as a component of the ceasefire, he accused Israel of delaying and sidestepping the negotiation terms.
During a news conference on Saturday in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu discussed the conflict and said that Israel’s only goal is to win and that it will not stop until we complete our mission.
Netanyahu claims that the government supports him politically and morally and that he communicates with US President Joe Biden on a regular basis.
No foreign coercion, no unfounded allegations will divert us from our goal, he declared. He rejected appeals for a cease-fire, saying that Hamas must be destroyed if peace is to be achieved.
The Israeli prime minister reiterated that Israel will continue to maintain security control over Gaza and that it will be demilitarized following the conflict, which is currently in its sixth week.
