Florida Robens Cesar is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend Fridelene Daniel to death a few hours after she reported him to the police for stalking.
The horrific incident unfolded on a Wednesday, leaving Daniel’s family in shock and grief. Cesar, 41, is currently behind bars in Palm Beach County Jail without bond.
Florida Fatal Obsession Unveiled
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law & Crime, Cesar confessed to detectives that he couldn’t stand to see Fridelene with another man and had been attempting to convince her to reconcile. The tipping point, he claimed, was Daniel reporting him to the police earlier that day.
Approximately 40 minutes before the fatal encounter, Daniel had sought help from the Boynton Police Department, accusing her ex-boyfriend of persistent stalking and harassment. Little did she know that this plea for protection would culminate in tragedy.
Around 9:00 a.m. that day, witnesses dialed 911, reporting multiple gunshots. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Daniel’s lifeless body with gunshot wounds, surrounded by spent shell casings.

Witnesses Detail Shooter’s Escape
Witnesses informed dispatchers that they saw the shooter, identified as Cesar, fleeing in a black Honda. Surveillance footage from the building captured Cesar wearing a distinctive blue-gray tee shirt and green shorts, his dreadlocks pulled back into a ponytail.
Law enforcement swiftly located Cesar at his residence about four miles away and took him into custody.
The victim’s family revealed that, tragically, Daniel was on the phone with a relative in Haiti just moments before the fatal shooting. Reportedly, as she arrived at her apartment, her terrified words were heard: “Oh, did you bring a gun to kill me?”
This heart-wrenching incident highlights the urgent need for effective measures to protect victims of stalking and domestic violence. It serves as a stark reminder that such cases demand swift and decisive intervention to prevent irreversible tragedies like the one that befell Fridelene Daniel.
