Pollex, the former partner of NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr., lost her battle with ovarian cancer at the age of 44.

Pollex’s courageous journey began in 2014 when she was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Despite the challenges posed by the disease, she remained steadfast in her determination to make a difference.
Tragically, the cancer recurred in 2021, but this setback only fueled her commitment to the cause.
The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, co-founded by Pollex, has supported childhood and ovarian cancer research, relief efforts, and fundraising initiatives. One of the foundation’s standout events is the charity fashion gala known as Catwalk for a Cause, which Pollex played a pivotal role in creating in 2010.
Over the years, this event has raised over $4 million in the ongoing battle against childhood cancer.
In 2017, Martin Truex Jr. and SHERRY Pollex received NASCAR’s prestigious National Motorsports Press Association’s Myers Brothers Award for their outstanding contributions to both the sport and the community.
Despite their challenges, Truex Jr. and Pollex continued their commitment to making a difference. Truex Jr. still serves as the president of the foundation they created together.

In September 2021, after learning that the disease had returned and spread to her lungs, she expressed her sense of purpose in leading the charge against cancer.
As of now, Martin Truex Jr. has not stated the loss of SHERRY Pollex.
The NASCAR driver, who was the subject of retirement rumors, confirmed in August that he would return to compete in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series.
