Kansas Residents’ September SNAP Payments of Up to $1,691 Ending Soon

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will distribute the balance of the payments to Kansas residents throughout the next two days before the program closes for the month of September.

Payments began on September 1 and will continue until September 10. Food stamps are distributed in the Sunflower State according to the first letter of the recipient’s last name. Surname names starting with S through Z should be paid within the next two days.

When to Expect SNAP Payment?

Those with surnames beginning with A or B received their checks on September 1. On September 2, households with surnames beginning with C and D got compensation

On September 3, households with surnames beginning with E, F, and G received money. Households with surnames beginning with H, I, or J got payments on September 4.

Payments to households with surnames beginning with the letters K and L arrived on Tuesday. Payments to households with surnames beginning with M were delivered on Wednesday. Payments to households with surnames beginning with the letters N, O, P, Q, and R arrived on Thursday.

If a household becomes SNAP eligible on September 10, they continue to get their September payment; they will not have to wait until October to collect.

The maximum SNAP payments are $281 for a single person, $939 for a family of four, and $1,691 for a family of eight. $211 is applied for each extra household member.

In the Sunflower State, around 195,800 people, or 7% of the total population, get SNAP assistance.

Every month, food stamps are loaded into an electronic benefits transfer card and used to purchase healthful foods and consumables. The funds can be spent at participating supermarkets, internet businesses, and farmers markets.
