The tragic event occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. on December 27, as captured by surveillance footage from Katz’s office.
Stephen Giraldo arrived at his estranged wife’s residence in a white Ford Explorer, ostensibly to drop off their three children, aged 6, 9, and 11. What followed was a nightmarish scene that shocked the entire city.
As Sophia Giraldo stepped outside her home to meet her children, her husband, in an unthinkable act, told the kids to keep their seatbelts on and accelerated. The vehicle jumped the curb, sending it tumbling to one side, but the horror did not end there.
