Donald Trump’s Golf Score of 67 Brings Cheers and Laughter at Bedminster Club

Former President Donald Trump has once again made headlines for claiming the Senior Club Championship at Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey.

The claim, published on his social media platform, Truth Social, has prompted debates and discussions regarding the integrity of his victory and the veracity of his golfing skills.

Cameron Smith’s Dominance, Trump’s Claim

The championship coincided with a LIV Golf tournament conducted from August 11 to 13, where professional golfer Cameron Smith won with a seven-stroke advantage.

Phil Mickelson, a prominent figure in the world of golf, encountered obstacles on Sunday after being a strong contender all weekend.

Trump’s claim is based on his purported 5-under 67 score on the par 72 course at Trump National Bedminster.

If confirmed, this accomplishment would be exceptional for any amateur golfer.

However, questions have been raised about the nature of this score, including whether it was a net or gross calculation and whether unorthodox methodologies may have contributed to the result.

According to the Global Handicap Information Network (GHIN) of the United States Golf Association, the former president has a handicap index 2.5.

Skeptics have cited Trump’s errant strokes and shanks on the golf course to cast doubt on the integrity of his handicap index.

Trump has yet to disclose a score since 2021, exacerbating the controversy. Generally, responsible golfers submit their scores following each round to preserve the integrity of their handicap.

This practice guarantees an equitable playing field for participants of varying skill levels.

Former President Donald Trump has once again made headlines for claiming the Senior Club Championship at Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey.

Trump responded to potential skepticism in a social media post by stating, “Now, some people will think that sounds low, but there is no hanky/panky”.

In addition to a large audience, “I am surrounded by Secret Service agents. You cannot do much even if you want to, and I do not”.

“I am simply a talented golfer and athlete.”

He was pleased with his victory and emphasized his track record of success in club championships.

Trump’s announcement, however, continued after his initial claim.

He went a step further by posting the mobile phone number of the chief golf pro on his platform, implying that those who questioned the integrity of his score could contact the pro shop for confirmation.

Intriguingly, Trump’s victory follows a viral video of him missing a pitch shot at his Los Angeles golf course.

This video received extensive attention and amusing responses, highlighting the attention-getting nature of his golfing endeavors.

Trump has confronted legal issues outside of golf, recently being indicted for the fourth time in Georgia.

He now faces 91 felony charges in four separate indictments related to his alleged participation in efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

As opinions continue to vary, the controversy surrounding Trump’s claim of victory in the Senior Club Championship continues to be discussed within and beyond the golfing community.
