Many were shocked by the mayor’s unexpected involvement in such a big discovery, which was confirmed by her office when this unusual episode occurred last month.

Border Patrol Seizes $1.1M Cocaine After Boater’s Find 

A weekend in July saw a recreational boater make the initial discovery of the cocaine that was eventually discovered, which has an estimated street value of $1.1 million. Agents from the Border Patrol quickly intervened and seized the drugs. 

Chief Patrol Agent Walter Slosar of the US Border Patrol’s Miami sector posted a picture of the haul along with this development on social media. 

A distinctive purple butterfly symbol was etched on each of the 25 bricks, serving as a bizarre visual reminder of the unanticipated catch.

A brick of cocaine was recently found by lobstermen after they stumbled upon it. According to information provided by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, they swiftly turned it over to the US Border Patrol.
