This arrest has raised concerns and shed light on a disturbing incident within the religious community on the island.

According to local media reports, the 49-year-old priest allegedly anointed the genitals of the Estonian tourist with holy oil.

The encounter took place in a small reception room at the monastery after the tourist accidentally left behind a crucifix he had purchased.

The priest invited him back to retrieve it and claimed he wanted to give him a special gift.

It was during this interaction that the priest requested the tourist to remove his trousers and underwear, leading to the alleged molestation.

Feeling bewildered and embarrassed by the incident, the tourist decided to report the incident to the local police after leaving the monastery.

In the Greek island of Rhodes, a Greek Orthodox priest was detained after being accused of abusing a male Estonian visitor.

The authorities subsequently arrested the Greek Orthodox priest on charges of “insulting the sexual dignity” of the tourist.

The case has been transferred to criminal prosecutors on the island of Rhodes for further investigation.

Reports indicate that the priest attempted to justify his actions by claiming that he believed the Estonian tourist had a rash and that he was offering assistance by treating it.

However, the legitimacy of this explanation remains a subject of investigation.

Rhodes Island is renowned as a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors from around the world due to its historical and aesthetic appeal.

Unfortunately, this incident is not the only unfortunate or bizarre event that has occurred on the island this year.

In June, dozens of tourists, mainly from the United Kingdom, had to be rescued from a burning tourist boat near Stenga Beach in the town of Archangelos

The incident left passengers traumatized as they were forced to jump into the water to escape the engulfing flames.
