WhatsApp Message Disputed: Hunter Biden Attorney Calls it Fake

An attorney representing Hunter Biden asserts that reported screenshots of a text communication in which Hunter Biden alludes to Joe Biden and addresses a potential Chinese business partner are unreliable and have a number of issues.

This text message has come under intense scrutiny as a result of claims made by an IRS whistleblower.

Hunter Biden’s WhatsApp Messages Examined

The assertion was made in a letter to Rep. Jason Smith, the head of the House Ways and Means Committee, which has spoken with the whistleblowers, by Abbe Lowell, one of Hunter Biden’s attorneys. NBC News was in possession of the letter.

Under oath, IRS Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley told the committee that while working as an investigator for the IRS, he was able to collect communications that former Vice President Hunter Biden sent using the WhatsApp app, including one in 2017 that he read and demanded money from Henry Zhao, a Chinese businessman.

According to Shapley, Biden seemed to imply in the message that he was seated alongside his father, who was the vice president at the time, and said, I’ll make sure that between the man sitting next to me and everyone he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.

Biden family lawyers reportedly threatened federal prosecutors with career suicide if they charged Hunter Biden, according to attorneys for Shapley, so this attempt to intimidate our client and the oversight authorities looking into the politicization of that case is nothing new.

Shapley claimed that when Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed in prior testimony that Weiss, who is based in Delaware, had the power to file charges in other states, such as California and Washington DC, he was not speaking the truth to Congress.

As a consequence of a lengthy federal criminal investigation, Hunter Biden is anticipated to enter a guilty plea to two misdemeanor tax violations in late July. Any impropriety connected to any of his international business transactions is denied.
