Donald Trump Criticizes Media for Unequal Coverage of Ron DeSantis’ Conference

Donald Trump criticized the media for unfair coverage of rival Ron DeSantis’ town hall in Eagle Pass, Texas, accusing them of denying him equal airtime despite his recent appearances.

The former president expressed his displeasure on Twitter on Monday, as both he and DeSantis have scheduled appearances in New Hampshire tomorrow. 

Donald Trump Highlights Achievements 

Trump will be attending the traditional Lilac Luncheon hosted by the federation in Concord, while DeSantis plans to hold a town hall in Hollis during the same timeframe.

Trump criticized Media for extensively covering DeSantis’ news conference at the Border while neglecting his own speeches over the weekend, one addressing Faith & Freedom in D.C. and the other focusing on trade in Michigan, where he received the Man of the Decade Award. 

Trump claimed that DeSantis simply reiterated the accomplishments he had achieved in creating the safest and strongest border in U.S. history. He also emphasized his significant lead over DeSantis in the polls and compared his popularity to that of President Biden.

DeSantis’ Campaign Emphasizes Restoration Message in New Hampshire

Trump expressed frustration over being ignored by the network, implying that they only wanted him to participate in their Presidential Debate to boost their ratings. He shared polls to support his argument. In a recent interview, Trump referred to the network as a hostile network and indicated that he might not participate in the first 2024 Republican primary debates due to the network’s treatment of him.

The post by the federation condemned Trump’s attempt to divert attention from their Lilac Luncheon, stating that it undermined the efforts of Republican women in New Hampshire who work as volunteers to provide access to all candidates for their membership.

Despite DeSantis’ aggressive immigration and border security policy, Trump assured his supporters that he is not concerned about his rival’s 2024 campaign

On the other hand, DeSantis’ campaign press secretary, Bryan Griffin, highlighted the governor’s dedication to conveying his message of restoring sanity and leading the Great American Comeback to every primary voter in New Hampshire, thanks to their strong organization in the state.
