Only hours after his Florida arraignment, former President Donald Trump held the first significant fundraiser of his campaign, raising roughly $2 million.

Trump had spent Tuesday in Miami’s federal courtroom, where he entered a not-guilty plea to claims that he had hidden sensitive government records at his Palm Beach club and obstructed government efforts to recover them.

Trump is charged with 37 felonies, including six counts of hindering the federal government’s attempt to obtain the documents and 31 counts of willful retention of national security materials.

Following his arraignment, Trump traveled back to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey with his team of advisers and attorneys.

There, he spoke to a crowd of fans, some of whom had flown halfway across the country at the last minute to give Trump a boost.

After the speeches, those who had donated at least $1,000 to attend Trump’s fundraiser were led inside the club for the remainder of the show.

Ric Grenell, the former acting director of National Intelligence under Trump, had earlier spoken to the crowd inside.

Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, also attended and addressed the audience.
