Kari Lake Asserts 300 Million Americans Will Stand by Trump Amid Indictment

Kari Lake, the GOP candidate for Arizona governor, claims that most Americans strongly support Donald Trump and are prepared to face risks following his indictment.

Donald Trump, who was formally accused of 37 serious criminal charges by the Department of Justice (DOJ) last week, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at a courthouse in Miami, Florida.

Kari Lake Clarifies Statement

During a gathering in Georgia on Friday, Lake, an individual attending the event, stated that federal prosecutors would need to confront her and the sizable group of 75 million Americans who support Trump in order to reach him. She claimed that a majority of Trump’s supporters were members of the National Rifle Association and clarified that her statement was intended as a public service announcement rather than a threat.

Lake reiterated her stance during an episode of the War Room podcast hosted by former Trump adviser Steven Bannon on Monday. In an exaggerated manner, she raised the number of supposed Trump supporters who would sacrifice themselves for the former president to 300 million.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the current population of the country is just under 335 million, with approximately 22 percent being individuals under the age of 18.

Lake expressed, “If they believe they can harm or lay a finger on our former President Trump, they will have to go through me.” She then corrected herself, stating that there were actually around 300 million others who shared her sentiments.

Lake further asserted that the 300 million predominantly armed Trump supporters, who she claimed were willing to resist the federal government over the charges related to Trump’s handling of classified documents after his presidency, strongly believed in the false conspiracy theory that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election due to extensive voter fraud.

While Lake encouraged peaceful actions, she urged others to join her in Miami to protest Trump’s court appearance. She referred to the Biden administration as “fraudulent,” alleging widespread corruption and a disregard for the interests of the people.

Trump, who is also facing 34 felony charges at the state level in New York, has consistently denied any criminal misconduct. He views the charges as politically motivated and part of what he considers to be the most extensive witch hunt in history.

Nevertheless, a significant number of legal experts, including Trump’s former Attorney General William Barr and his former lawyer Tim Parlatore, have argued that the federal case against the former president is highly robust.
