Russia has focused its invasion efforts on the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, initially achieving territorial advancements.
However, in more recent developments, the gains that Russia had previously achieved have experienced a partial reversal as a result of a counteroffensive undertaken by Ukraine.
Ukrainian Colonel’s Assurance
During the ensuing series of battles, rumors began to spread that the Russian fighters lacked the necessary tools.
Nonetheless, Ukrainian Colonel Andriy Biletsky has vehemently dismissed these claims, characterizing them as more reminiscent of TikTok propaganda than an accurate reflection of reality.
As the commander of Ukraine’s 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Colonel Biletsky affirmed the readiness of the enemy forces, placing significant emphasis on their personal equipment, weaponry, communication capabilities, well-equipped armored vehicles, and a highly sophisticated system of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Strategies Of The Counteroffensive
The timing of Colonel Biletsky’s statements coincided with the notable presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the highly anticipated G7 summit, which took place in Hiroshima, Japan on Saturday.
Zelensky’s determined efforts to secure additional support from allies for Ukraine, particularly with regard to the provision of further weaponry, overshadowed the primary objective of the summit, which aimed to address broader issues extending beyond the Ukrainian conflict, including China’s utilization of trade restrictions.
Following months of intense combat in eastern Ukraine, the Ukrainian forces launched a counteroffensive earlier this month, successfully regaining control over territory in Bakhmut during a three-day battle that caught Russian forces off guard.
Colonel Biletsky expounded on the counteroffensive’s specifics in an interview, saying that Ukrainian soldiers used the Russian battalions’ rotation to their advantage to get the upper hand. They immediately started their attack, working hard to get beyond the enemy’s front line.
The primary objective was to repel the enemy on the flanks of Bakhmut, Colonel Biletsky disclosed to the Times. “We employed three distinct maneuvering techniques: infiltration, frontal assault, and turning movement.”
