Billions of Dollars’ Worth of COVID-19 Vaccines Left Unused

Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Novavax are four vaccine brands that have had more than 300 million doses of their products destroyed or donated to other nations.

There are still other reasons to throw away doses, though. A Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine vial frequently contains five to six doses, whereas a Moderna vaccine vial can contain up to ten doses.

Yet vaccine reluctance is a growing problem in the US.
