Greg Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas, announced on Thursday that a busload of migrants from his state had arrived in Colorado.
In a news statement, Abbott revealed that the migrants had been transported by bus from Texas to Colorado and left off in the center of the city.
Texas Governor Takes Action
Abbott stated in the statement that Texas’ overburdened and overrun border communities shouldn’t have to bear the torrent of illegal immigrants brought on by President Biden’s careless open border policies, such as his mass release without court dates or any means of tracking them.
New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia were among the places to which Abbott bused refugees.
According to Philadelphia officials, 34 migrants seeking asylum arrived in their city by bus from Texas on Wednesday, and another 46 migrants did so on Thursday.
In the latest update, the migrants come from Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic.
Since November, a total of 23 buses carrying migrants had arrived in Philadelphia.
Since early December, hundreds of migrants, largely from Venezuela, have been traveling by commercial buses to Denver from El Paso, Texas in order to acquire help getting to their final destinations.

Political Tensions with Migrant Busing to Denver, Colorado
State and local officials in Colorado have previously claimed that the most recent arrivals were not the result of GOP leaders’ political maneuvers and that the migrants were using commercial buses to Denver and were not being guided by any state agencies.
The first group of migrants flown by his state to Colorado was dropped off close to Civic Center Park on Tuesday afternoon at 14th Street and Court Place, according to a statement Abbott made on his Twitter account.
The State of Texas will continue busing migrants to self-declared sanctuary towns like Denver until the President and his Administration take decisive action and carry out their constitutional duty to control the border, he said.
Texas has been sending migrant travelers to Washington, D.C. on charter buses. since April 2022, and they began transporting migrants to Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York City last year.
According to Abbott’s statement, the state bused more than 19,000 migrants to other locations to “give much-needed assistance to Texas’ overcrowded border communities.”
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock described Abbott’s action as partisan gamesmanship and political theater that pits jurisdictions against one another rather than addressing the current humanitarian issue at the border.
