Amazon Listing Reveals Details About Google Pixel Tablet

Prior to the conference, the Pixel Fold, Google’s first foldable smartphone, is garnering significant media attention. A page briefly appeared on an international Amazon page on May 7, before being removed.

On Sunday, a listing for the forthcoming Google Pixel Tablet appeared on Amazon Japan.

The now-removed page, which was previously spotted by WinFuture and others, stated that the tablet would be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chip, have an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage.

A Google project, which many believe will be extensively discussed at a conference on May 10, was unexpectedly revealed on May 7.

A front-facing 8-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel camera in the back, Bluetooth 5.2, support for a USI 2.0 touch pen, and quad speakers are among the tablet’s additional features, according to the listing.

The Google Pixel Tablet can be purchased in Japan for the price of 79,800 yen, which at the current exchange rate is approximately $590 USD.

Google’s website has the listed price. The addition of Google as a major new competitor in the foldable market is substantial.

This is especially significant when one considers the fact that the technology company has been investing more in its smartphone hardware division ever since the launch of the Pixel 6 in October 2021. This was a significant event for the technology company.

It is anticipated that the Pixel Fold will have a starting price that is greater than $1,700, which would place it in the position of being the most expensive phone in Google’s lineup.

That puts it in the same ballpark as Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4, which can be purchased right now for $1,799.
