May 2023 Stimulus Payments: Eligibility and application process for $1,500 payments

The consequences of inflation were mitigated in many US states last year by way of Stimulus payments or tax refunds.

Although inflation has decreased since then, some areas still receive financial aid of up to $1,500. Find out how to acquire them here:

California

305 families in Sonoma County, California are currently receiving guaranteed income thanks to a trial initiative called Pathway to Income Equity. Payments of $500 per month have begun during the 24-month trial period. The 17th of May is the next payment due date.

Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) in Alaska

The amount awarded this year is $3,284 per candidate. Alaska residents had until March 31 to submit their claims for funding. The following due date is May 18th.

Massachusetts

A rebate was issued in December to anyone who filed their 2021 tax return by October 17, 2020.

Those who file their taxes after September 15, 2023, however, will receive their refunds within a month. Payments for returns submitted in April are typically dispersed in May.

State of New Jersey

Those with a household income of up to $150,000 will receive a $1,500 property tax refund, while those with a household income of $150,000 to $250,000 would receive a $1,000 refund. 

Renters with annual incomes up to $150,000 will each receive a $450 bonus. The money back will be sent this month.

The State of New Mexico

Single-state residents can still get a $500 reimbursement, while married couples can get a $1,000 rebate. In order to receive a refund, residents must file their income tax returns by the end of this month.

Georgia

Those who live in Georgia and have paid their income taxes for the years 2021 and 2022 will be eligible to receive a relief check in the amount of $250 for singles and $500 for couples. If you filed it before April 18th, you can expect to be paid this month.
