Massachusetts residents to receive final $400 stimulus payment in 2 weeks

The final payment for Chelsea, Massachusetts residents who get assistance from a food and utilities subsidy program will be made in precisely two weeks.

In May, citizens of California, Georgia, Massachusetts, and New Jersey will get stimulus checks worth $250 for single filers in Georgia and $1,500 in New Jersey.

Stimulus Payments in California and Massachusetts

California:

According to the Sonoma County Administrator’s Office, candidates needed to have at least one kid under the age of six, be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in some way, and have a family income that was no more than 185% of the federal poverty line. 

In March, it made its initial payment.

Massachusetts:

On May 15, the payments—which range from $200 to $400—will be given to 738 households. The money is given out through the Chelsea Eats program and is intended to help with food and electricity expenses. 

The cash is placed onto debit cards that were given to beneficiaries in early March, according to a representative for the city of Chelsea who talked to the Washington Examiner.

The program’s third and last payment, which was due on the 15th of each month, On March 15 and April 15, respectively, the first and second payments were made.

The Amount Given Depends on Household Quantity

The amount given to recipients is determined by the size of their household.

According to the website for the Chelsea Eats program, a home of one receives $200, a household of two receives $300, and a household of three or more receives $400.

Families had to be Chelsea residents and have household incomes that were 30% below the neighborhood median in order to qualify. 

To qualify for the program, households of one must earn less than $29,450, and households of two must earn less than $33,650. 

Every extra household member raised the threshold.

The initiative will come to a stop following this subsequent payment, the spokesman informed the Washington Examiner.
