Since March 2021, the federal government of the United States of America has not provided a fourth stimulus check.
Nonetheless, several states have taken matters into their own hands and are providing relief payments to qualified residents.
State-level stimulus check
Here’s everything you need to know about state-level stimulus checks and how to apply if you qualify.
California: Tax Break for the Middle Class
More than 25 million California taxpayers who submitted their 2020 income taxes by October 15, 2021, will get a second batch of stimulus checks. Depending on your salary and dependents, the payments range from $200 to $1,050.
Colorado: Cash Back in Colorado
Colorado is offering a one-time $750 rebate to individual taxpayers and a $1,500 reimbursement to joint filers who earned less than $75,000 in 2020. Payments are planned to be sent via direct deposit or paper check by the end of January 2023. You can check the status of your payment on the Colorado Cash Back website.
Idaho Income Tax Relief
Idaho is offering a tax relief payment of 10% of your state income tax return for 2020 or 2021, or $300, whichever is greater.
Residents who filed their taxes by April 15, 2022, or October 15, 2022, will be eligible for the payments.
