Arizona Officials Reveal Cause Of Contamination
As previously stated, Aspergillus is a fungus. Aspergillus is a mold that can be found both indoors and outdoors, according to the Mayo Clinic.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Aspergillus can cause the disease Aspergillosis. Aspergillus can cause allergic responses, chronic lung diseases, and invasive diseases that spreads to your brain, kidneys, lungs, or other organs in some people.
According to AZDHS officials, the possible contamination was detected during a routine examination of a marijuana testing laboratory, when it was established that equipment was mishandled, according to the manufacturer.
This is not the first time marijuana goods in Arizona have been recalled.
We reported on a recall of eight marijuana products in June 2021 due to probable Salmonella or mold contamination. Another recall occurred in November of the same year, this time involving 11 goods owing to probable Aspergillus or Salmonella contamination.
Marijuana product recalls have occurred in other parts of the country as well. California’s Department of Cannabis Control issued a mandatory recall for a batch of cannabis flowers due to Aspergillus contamination on January 26, 2022.
The most recent marijuana product recall in California occurred on December 23, 2022, and involved two goods that were voluntarily recalled owing to a probable packaging problem.
