During a Saturday incident in a South Carolina Forest area, a security guard was shot, according to his employer.
The officer observed a heated argument between two neighbors in the Avalon neighborhood, according to Phoenix Security Solutions. One of the neighbors was trying to remedy the problem when he fled into his house with the officer’s body camera.
Security Guard Shot While Trying To Stop Neighbors’ Fight
According to the company, the man went back outside and pointed a shotgun at a neighbor. The suspect fired at least eight shots at the guard, striking him in the face and back of the head. Wise grabbed his revolver and commanded the suspect to drop the firearm.
The corporation claims that at some point during the confrontation, Wise fired back at the suspect, striking him three times. The corporation claims that the questioned neighbor is likewise known to have significant PTSD.
Meanwhile, the security guard made a dispatch call and requested assistance from the Horry County Police Department to retrieve his camera.
The man then allegedly returned and approached the other neighbor while brandishing a shotgun. As the guy refused to put down the shotgun, the officer pulled his own firearm.
The officer was then allegedly shot in the face from a distance of roughly 25 feet by the suspect who was armed with a shotgun. After that, the officer managed to hide behind some cover but was once more hit in the back of the head. The company claims that the suspect fired the shotgun at least eight times.
Soon after arriving on the site, HCPD police and Horry County Fire Rescue personnel were able to locate the security guard. The suspect was captured by police as well and sent to the hospital. By Sunday morning, their identity had not been revealed.

Victim Expected To Recover
The injured officer, who Phoenix Security Solutions stated had no life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover, received assistance from neighbors as well.
Phoenix Security Solutions, the officer was experiencing difficulties with his contacts at the time, thus wearing his spectacles helped prevent serious harm to his right eye.
Neighbors and others in the nearby Avalon community were advised to stay inside soon after the event. The region was likewise warned to motorists.
According to the neighborhood homeowner who talked with WMBF News, his wife heard the rounds being fired at the security guy.
