In an interview with Unfiltered with Kiran, the man described the odor that drew him to the 2900 block of Scenic Highway, approximately three miles from the Irish pub. At about 11.30 pm, Millard was last observed.

According to Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, a non-profit search-and-recovery company, a passerby smelled a terrible odor emerging from the parking lot and called 911.

The police discovered Millard’s wrapped and concealed body. The one who discovered Millard was traveling north of Baton Rouge when he decided to investigate the source of the odor.

When the man approached the abandoned lot with carports, he exited his vehicle with a flashlight to investigate. Baton Rouge informed UWK that he discovered the rug behind a carport at that time.

Baton Rouge recalled, “At first, I assumed someone was tossing away food, but then I saw the feet. That’s when I became terrified and my stomach began to twist into knots.”

Reportedly, Millard’s remains were recovered rolled up on a carpet and wrapped in plastic. Officials stated that just his fingertips allowed them to identify his decaying body.

Last Monday, Texas EquuSearch, a non-profit organization dedicated to locating missing persons, began searching for Milliard and offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his location.

A representative for the organization told 11Alive that a passerby called the police to report a terrible odor emanating from the vacant site.
