A personalized playlist is created using artificial intelligence by Spotify’s new feature based on your musical preferences and interests.
The DJ aspect of the music streaming service is new. This aligns with an increase in interest in AI technologies such as ChatGPT from OpenAI.
New Spotify DJ Tool
Using artificial intelligence, this feature will manage your music and provide comments on the music you listen to and the artists that create it.
Wednesday, Spotify announced that it would begin sending out the beta version of DJ, which the company describes as a personalized AI guide. On Thursday, the beta version will be released.
This tool generates a playlist of songs that an artificial intelligence commentator with a lifelike voice suggests for you depending on the music genres you select. Consider the DJ position for a moment.
Spotify promises that when you press the button, the DJ will have such a comprehensive understanding of your musical interests that it will be able to choose the song to play for you based on your preferences.
According to the company, the feature is a combination of their existing personalization technology, generative AI made possible by leveraging OpenAI technology, and an AI voice made possible by acquiring Sonantic. These technologies were all utilized to construct the feature.
Spotify’s head of cultural collaborations, Xavier X Jernigan, gave the inspiration for the DJ’s voice. Jernigan was also the host of the morning program The Get Up when the service was active.
Spotify acknowledges that his voice served as the initial paradigm for DJ voices, and the firm asserts that DJ voices will continue to evolve.
How To Get Spotify’s AI DJ?
From next Wednesday, Spotify Premium customers in the United States and Canada will be able to hear the DJ in English.
Open the Spotify mobile application, navigate to the Music feed on the Home screen, and then hit the DJ button’s play button.
This provides access to this feature. With the DJ button in the lower-right corner of the screen, you can make a range of adjustments.
