US And India ICET Partnership
President Biden intends to remedy this by having American corporations construct new infrastructure in the region. Moreover, India’s military, which is currently reliant on Russia, will have access to advanced US weapons.
The program also includes a cooperative effort on space and quantum computing with high performance. General Electric has asked the US government for permission to develop jet engines. The collaboration will extend to semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and other essential technologies.
Tuesday at the White House, Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser, and Ajit Doval, his Indian counterpart, will meet with senior officials from both nations to establish the US-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies.
China’s economic practices, its aggressive military actions, its aspirations to dominate the industries of the future and to control the future supply chains have had a major effect on Delhi’s thinking, according to Sullivan. The deal is anticipated to provide substantial benefits to both countries.
According to the White House, General Electric has requested permission to construct jet engines with India that would power aircraft operated and manufactured by India. A review is now underway. Now it is believed that this permission will also be granted.
