The Colorado Cash Back program will provide $750 to those who file their 2021 tax rebates by October 17, 2021. Eligible couples will earn $1,500.
In May, Gov. Jared Polis approved a bill to restore money to taxpayers. Originally, the payout was planned to be $400 for individuals and $800 for couples. According to Colorado’s Department of Revenue, the amount was increased due to an increase in state revenues.
Tax Rebates 2023
This payment will be made by the end of the month to state residents who requested an extension. The first set of payments was made to residents on September 30 who had filed their 2021 taxes by June 30.
According to the Department of Revenue, to be eligible for this payment, Colorado residents must have turned 18 by or on December 31, 2021, have been Colorado residents for the entire 2021 income tax year, and have filed a state income tax return for 2021 or applied for a Property Tax/Rent/Heat Credit Rebate.

Amount Could Still Change
If an eligible taxpayer owes money to a government agency, such as overdue child support or parking citations, the rebate amount will be reduced.
In addition, on May 23, 2022, Gov. Jared Polis approved a new bill (Senate Bill 22-233) that will offer Coloradans a tax rebate of $750 for individuals and $1,500 for couples this summer.
This law will bring immediate assistance to Coloradans by delivering you a check this summer rather than in the spring of 2023, and the Colorado Department of Revenue is working diligently to ensure that you receive the correct tax refund amount as quickly as possible.
Checks will be mailed to your most recent known address on file with the Department, so ensure that it is current and accurate.
You can alter your address by login into Revenue Online or creating an account, or by completing a completed Address Change Form (DR 1102).
Additional information about this payment can be found on the website of the Colorado Department of Revenue.
