Americans wishing for a fourth federal stimulus check have been repeatedly disappointed this year, as there have been few efforts to provide additional financial relief.
Some lawmakers, however, continue to advocate for additional direct payments into the bank accounts of at least some Americans.
December Financial Assistance
The US Rescue Plan Act is the most recent legislation to provide stimulus payments for COVID-19-related financial losses. The law provides checks for $1,400 for most adults and dependents, as well as an extended child tax credit that pays up to $3,600 per child.
Congressman Schiff is calling on Democratic lawmakers to introduce this expanded child tax credit. The extended tax credit allowed by the US Rescue Plans Act expired at the end of December 2021, but Schiff believes it should continue indefinitely.

States Stimulus Check
