As North Korea cracks down on parents picking children’s names, it has advised giving their children patriotic names like bombs and guns.
If their names are not revolutionary enough, the nation has demanded that individuals change names to ones that are more ideological and militaristic.
North Korea Orders Parents to Change Children’s Name
Families in North Korea are in danger of punishment if they do not name their children with a final consonant. The names Chong Il gun, Chung Sim loyalty, Pok Il bomb, and Ui Song are all fit.
Residents of the neighborhood-watch unit have been informed to correct any names that lack final consonants at the meetings of the citizens since last month. Those without final consonants have until the end of the year to change their names to reflect political themes to meet the requirements of the revolution.
They questioned whether the new law was being implemented by the government for the names of the future generation to reflect the current period of famine and persecution.
As tensions between the two countries remain high in the wake of the North’s recent missile launch along the disputed border area, North Korean officials stated that names must not be similar to those in South Korea.

Pyongyang’s Potential Next Leader
Meanwhile, Kim Ju Ae’s fashion sense has been immediately popular in North Korea since Kim Jong Un first introduced his 10-year-old daughter to the world a few weeks ago. It appears that her styling is enthusing young North Koreans.
Dr. Joung Eun-lee, a researcher at the Korea Institute for National Unification in Seoul, thinks that Ju Ae is following in the footsteps of her mother Ri Sol Ju.
Ju encouraged women in the North to stock their closets with voguish dresses after being observed wearing similar attire while accompanying her husband.
The 10-year-old was dressed like her mother when she and her father inspected the testing site. Ju Ae, like Ri, was seen with her father wearing a black coat with black fur and a white coat with white fur, which is uncannily identical to her mother’s 2010s attire.
When Ri was pictured wearing contemporary Western-style clothing, such as short skirts with high heels and Christian Dior handbags, in a nation where rigorous dress regulations are enforced, she sparked a wave of change.
