Elon Musk Plans To Establish Own Smartphone Following Apple’s Threat To Ban Twitter From App Store

Elon Musk, the platform’s new CEO, took control following a protracted back and forth with the acquisition transaction, Twitter has been on an unpredictable journey.

Since then, Twitter has lost about half of its personnel, and many of them made the decision to leave the organization when Musk issued a strict ultimatum asking them to put in longer hours.

Since the employees’ exodus, rumors and worries about Twitter’s demise have increased. But as of right now, the Bluebird app is active and tweeting.

Musk is preparing for the chance that Twitter will be removed from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, though. After responding to Wheeler’s article, the billionaire’s tweet received more than 37.9k retweets, 411.4k likes, and 7221 quote tweets.

When Phil Schiller, CEO of the Apple App Store, canceled his Twitter account, Elon Musk purportedly disclosed his smartphone ambitions.

Twitter’s previous head of trust and safety, Yoel Roth, also tweeted that if the company broke the guidelines, Apple and Google might remove Twitter from their app stores.

However, several analysts have given their thoughts on the subject and are doubtful that Musk will take the phone business into account.

Some of the main issues the billionaire could run into include the platform itself, the OS (Operating System), the app store, and the smartphone ecosystem.

Amazon, Samsung, and other market leaders have already created alternative platforms that might compete with iOS and Android.

Experts Express Worry Over Musk’s Twitter Control

Analysts also contend that Musk must persuade app creators to create fresh applications for his envisioned smartphone platform. Additionally, he must develop substitute services and applications that can directly challenge those that Apple and Google control.

Analysts also pointed out that running a mobile platform is very dissimilar from running companies like Tesla and SpaceX. Schiller withdrawing from the bird app and Roth bringing up such a scenario, however, mean that this situation is still hypothetical in nature.
