A new armament system has reportedly been installed to protect the nation’s airspace against North Korean threats, according to news organizations and media in South Korea. The Long-Range Surface Air Missile (L-SAM) Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense System is an addition to the nation’s present aerial defense system.
According to reports, this is retaliation to North Korea’s most recent attack, in which it launched 23 missiles at South Korea, breaking its previous record for most missiles launched against the Republic.
The L-capabilities SAMs and features for military defense in the airspace are demonstrated in a video that the state-run Yonhap News also released.
South Korea vs. North Korea
Although South Korea is best regarded as being a democratic nation, its neighbors and fellow citizens on the other side of the inter-Korean border are not treated kindly by the government.
