A star-studded cast and director Ryan Coogler paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman during the premiere of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” on Wednesday night in Hollywood.
After the death of Boseman’s King T’Challa, the people of Wakanda, led by Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and M’Baku (Winston Duke), grieve and seek a means for their kingdom to remain in the Marvel sequel.
Considering the central importance of T’Challa’s death in the plot of “Wakanda Forever,” Boseman’s absence from the evening’s premiere threw a pall of gloom over the festivities.
Wright opened out about making a sequel without Boseman on the red carpet, amid widespread speculation that Shuri will succeed T’Challa as Black Panther in the upcoming film Wakanda Forever.
I’m getting ready,” Wright said to Variety. Some of Chad’s team members have crossed my path. Every time our eyes meet, we instantly understand each other.
Separation is a necessary evil. My aunt is beaming with pride as she holds my gaze and we both smile. There’s a moment when I have to withdraw… Very moving. As best we can, we’re keeping everything together.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also spoke out about Chadwick Boseman, expressing his appreciation for the time they spent working together.
I had the privilege of having him for the brief time that I did,” Feige said. The fact that he accomplished so much at such a young age bodes well for the longevity of his legacy. He will be present for countless future generations.

During the course of his interview, Feige was hailed by Coogler, who lavished adulation on the director on this, his big night.
Feige praised the director, calling him “one of the best individuals I’ve ever met, one of the best filmmakers.” Maybe the most admirable human being I’ve ever come across.
There’s no need for such exaggeration!” Coogler laughed and said something nice back to Feige, “This is hyperbole right here. Astonishing creator!
Michaela Coel joins the cast as Dora Milaje’s captain and combat instructor Aneka, making her MCU debut with Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart. The kingdom of Talokan, governed by Tenoch Huerta Mejia’s Namor, one of Marvel’s oldest heroes, also makes an appearance.
It appears that Coogler and co-writer Joe Robert Cole have found a method to demonstrate all sides of Namor, who has appeared as both a friend and opponent in the comics.
Like other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Wakanda Forever” has kept its plot mostly under wraps. Disney announced a big announcement that Rihanna would be performing an original song named “Lift Me Up” for the film early on Wednesday morning. After a six-year hiatus, Rihanna has finally released new music.
