When will the second season of Inside Job be available to stream? After a burst of successful adult animated series, Netflix released a sci-fi workplace comedy in 2019. We’re talking about a wide variety of shows here, including BoJack Horseman, Big Mouth, and Disenchantment.
Inside Job introduced us to Cognito Inc., a shadow government organization created by Gravity Falls’ Shion Takeuchi and Alex Hirsch. It was the organization’s job to keep the world from collapsing as a result of all the conspiracies that were brewing around it.
Reagan Ridley, the main character, was introduced to viewers in the premiere episode of the show. Over the course of ten episodes, viewers learned about Reagan’s antisocial and terribly awkward ways as she worked as a robotics engineer with her dysfunctional team.
As for Netflix’s claim that the show is “dysfunctional,” the network wasn’t exaggerating. A telepathic mushroom and a man-dolphin super soldier are just two of the out-of-place members of the team.
We are here to discuss Shion’s plans for Inside Job Season 2 and his multi-year contract with Netflix. Join us as we make wild assumptions about the premiere date, trailer, cast, and plot of this comedy series.
Inside Job Season 2 Release Date
As of October 2022, Netflix has not revealed when the second season of Inside Job will become available to subscribers.
However, the streaming service did confirm Inside Job’s return for a second season (or “Part 2”) during its official Geeked Week event in June 2022.

Not unexpectedly, given that the streaming service purchased 20 episodes back in April 2019. Ten have been shown thus far in Season 1, so we’ve been waiting for the remaining ten to arrive.
Considering that an announcement and teaser have already been released (see below), it is possible that the remaining ten episodes will be made available by Netflix in late 2022.
Inside Job Season 2 Plot
After Rand Ridley (Christian Slater) was reinstated as CEO of Cognito Inc. in the season one (or part one) cliffhanger, viewers were certain that Inside Job would return for a second season. As the official teaser plays out the first few minutes of Episode 2 Part 2, we know that the story will continue directly from where we left off.

Reagan Ridley (Lizzy Caplan) is shown processing the news that her father, Rand, has reclaimed his position as CEO. Although she had high hopes for leading Cognito in a new direction, she was instead deceived by the Shadow Board and forced to return to her old position as an employee.
Reagan returns to the office with Brett Hand (Clark Duke) and discovers that her father has taken matters into his own hands by defying the mysterious Robes and charting a new route for Cognito Inc.
In the foyer, a hologram of Rand declares, “From now on, we do as I say.” Once again, Cognito will be a powerhouse. And then Cognito will get back together with its ex-wife, reclaim custody of its daughter, and restore its luscious locks.
There are clues of a lot more theories and the resulting mayhem that comes with each idea, and it’s evident that the show will continue to lean into its mature humor. So, we’re going to continue digging into the shadowy workings of this secret government agency.
