Any Marvel show that could get Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke into its ranks had to be amazing from the get-go, but we were rather unprepared for the shocks that Moon Knight had in store for us throughout the series.
Because they left us on a cliffhanger after Stephen Grant and Marc Spector’s journey across Egypt with the powers of Khonshu in tow, we all have questions about when exactly we could see the mercs return, if at all.
The journey was fun, and we all had questions about when exactly we could see the mercs return. What exactly is going on with the second season of Moon Knight? Including the release date, the actors, the story, and everything else that we know about it, here it is.
Moon Knight Season 2 Release Date
Oscar Isaac and director Mohamed Diab were observed in a TikTok that, once it was released, went viral for its popularity. When Oscar Isaac was asked if there will be a second season of Moon Knight, the camera cut to an Egyptian setting, and he responded by asking why else they would be in Cairo: “Why else would we be in Cairo?” Curious.

If it is a second season that Isaac and Diab are hinting at, then we might see an announcement before the end of the year, and the release might be pushed back to the latter half of 2023. If you are familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then you understand that this tease might refer to anything at all.
Moon Knight Season 2 Plot
There is a good chance that Marc Spector and Stephen Grant will appear in another episode of Moon Knight Season 2, but this time it will probably be in a more amicable form than the mayhem that we witnessed when they were competing over the same body in the first season.

Obviously, the conclusion of the first season left us hanging on the cliffhanger that there is a third alter in the mix, and that alter takes the form of the ruthless Jake Lockley. After the apparent introduction of a new villain in Moon Knight season 2, Isaac may find himself playing multiple roles, including those of both hero and villain.
Lockley is likely to take our frontmen down an additional rabbit hole of adventures, despite the fact that there have been Moon Knight comics published for the past 47 years from which to choose.
Also, considering that Werewolf by Night has just started streaming on Disney+ and that MK will be making his debut in a Werewolf by Night comic, we can’t help but think that these two will eventually cross paths.
After then, the direction in which the tale of Moon Knight season 2 will take us is completely unknown. With projects such as the upcoming Blade movie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is undeniably gravitating toward the more sinister aspects of the source material.
However, in terms of Mr. Night, we are going to have to wait and see what Marvel has in store for Marc and Stephen.
Moon Knight Season 2 Cast
Based on this TikTok tease, Oscar Isaac is the only person who has been confirmed to join the cast of Moon Knight season 2 (if it happens).

Still, we wouldn’t be surprised if Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow didn’t come back. Hawke might not be easy to convince again, and Jake Lockley kind of shot him in the head at the end of the first series, so it would be hard to do.
As for the rest, we would expect May Calamawy to come back as Layla El-Faouly since she died in a heroic way and could come back as the Scarlet Scarab. Calamawy is the first Egyptian hero in the MCU. When asked where she’d like to go next, she told Inverse that she’d like to work with Doctor Strange, Blade, Agatha Harkness, or Nebula. Well, that’s a long list.
Lastly, we think that Karim El Hakim and F. Murray Abraham will be back as Khonshu, and we hope that Antonia Salib’s Taweret will also be back. Everyone wants that happy hippo to do more.
Moon Knight Season 2 Trailer
There is currently no trailer available for Moon Knight season 2. It was extremely optimistic of you to even consider the possibility of there being a second season given that the green light has not been given for it.
